HCG has provided feasibility, site selection, recruitment, retention and site support services for Asthma, Seasonal Allergies and Infectious Rhinitis. Although asthma crosses all age, gender and ethnic boundaries, in economically-challenged communities it is both under-treated and under-diagnosed. Recruiting these populations is often not as challenging as navigating them through screening and keeping them engaged and compliant as subjects. HCG’s “high touch” site relations, referral retention and subject retention programs have resulted in higher consent and randomization rates than site efforts alone, as well as higher long-term retention percentages.
